How might we encourage correct brushing habits as early as possible?
We are instructed to begin brushing babies teeth as soon as the first tooth appears- usually around 6 months.
However, gum care is equally as important, starting as early as day one.
Dr. Heather Coubrough DMD explains we don’t truly have the dexterity to brush our own teeth until 9 years old.
What does oral care look like from ages 0-9? What can we do to correct bad habits from the beginning?
How might we integrate teething toys with oral routine to promote a seamless transition?
As teeth begin to form around 3-6 months, it can be an extremely painful sensation for the baby. Teething toys can help to alleviate the pain as well as brushing and cleaning the gums.
How can we redesign oral care from 3 months to 3 years? If the product is positively interacted with during the day, will the child be more likely to brush their teeth in the morning and at bedtime?
